AWAARAPAN

Initially when i first saw the trailer i was not impressed and the tagline “love was his only destination” i said to myself “just another Emraan Hashmi movie”...when the movie released in June 2007 i was in Dubai, i had the opportunity to watch the movie but i refused to watch it at the last minute... the biggest blunder i had ever in regard to watching a movie...

It is a remake of the Korean movie “ a Bittersweet life”...the story involves the suffering and trauma endured by a hitman Shivam played by ( Emraan Hashmi in an understated and immortal performance in my opinion; i don't care what anyone cares or thinks; he should have won the National and the Filmfare Award in 2007,because such roles are what ever actor craves and come only once in a lifetime)should have also won awards for Best Director ( Mohit Suri), Best Male Singer (Mustafa Zahid) ,Best Script, Best Supporting Actor ( Ashustosh Rana),Best Dialogues ...the thing i liked the most was that i know how it feels to lose someone you love more than yourself in this case Aliya ( Shreya Saran looking like a Greek goddess :-) ) her smile sure melted my heart... this is a movie i can watch millions of times and never get bored even once...

Never before have i seen movie which is perfect in every sense...my all time favorite Hindi movie... the unforgettable songs...relatable characters...scenes i will always cherish especially Shivam's final confrontation with Mallik ( Ashutosh Rana; outstanding as always) at point blank and the dialogue that ensues..Shivam's scream at the end was simply powerful to the core!!!.Shivam's explanation to the monk at the monastery...the manner in which Toh Phir Aao is used in a haunting climax and the expression on Shivam's face when he observes the small monk child praying... Shivam's true emotions are revealed in two vital scenes ; when he starts digging Aliya's grave and the way Shivam observes Reema when she kisses the taaveez; lost love is something which no one in this world can recover...Pakistani singer Mustafa Zahid what a find!!! you really poured your heart and soul in to the songs!!!Mohit Suri take a bow...the way you used the pigeons to symbolize freedom was beautiful and the line “ aazaad hona mera haq hai” was a stroke of genius... i am certainly sure this is your best movie ...yet...
